Diff lock shifter split
Splitting the Diff lock shifter.
Larger inside shoulder of parking brake handle is ideal for location of new locker lever.
So, cut it off.
Use the cut off piece to sleeve a piece of 1/4 inch plate, trimming to clearance everything, and then weld on the handle.
In this case, a 4WD selector of a 99 XJ - also fabricate a spring catch on the lever mount.
Fabricate the linkage.
Another view of the linkage - note the modified brake flex hose mount.
Here is how it looks.
Rear locker engaged, 4WD selected, front locker open.
Birds eye view - crawler shifter not yet fabricated.
